18th and 19th century German immigration to Galicia, promoted by the Austrian overlord, can raise double-brick walls to your research first from the geographic distance to earlier records, then from many Germans who were Protestant. This presentation will explore the history and archival sources available for researching potential German ancestors in Galicia.
